May 5th 7-11pm Dave Greer and the Classic Jazz Stompers at The Packard Museum in Dayton, Ohio featuring players from Chicago, Andy Schumm & Dave Bock. The event states its $10 at the door, but rumor has it they are letting dancers in for free.
May 17th – 19th Memphis Belle Exhibit Opening May 17, 2018 with events May 17-19. The event states there will be a big band playing on 5/18 6:00-7:30pm This is located at the National Museum of the United States Air Force.
May 26th 6-10 pm Cincinnati Warbirds USO Dance featuring Tom Daughtery Orchestra
Get advanced tickets for $12 at the Cincinnati Lindy Society Sunday weekly dances at College Hill, some Thursday nights at Swingallery at Leaping Lizard & on Friday night monthly dances at Molly Malones, Covington.
If you can’t attend one of these dances, please message Ryan Quatman or send a message to Cincinnati Lindy Society for a mailing address and how many tickets you need. You can email them @ cincylindysociety@gmail.com as well. If you buy tickets at the door, tickets are $20.

Swing One
Summer Session June 19, 26, & July 3 (7:00-8:00 pm)

Swing I focuses on beginner’s Swing and introduces strong lead and follow techniques that are useful in any dance style. This class is for student who has never danced before, or have the need to brush up on the basics. Your instructors, Gus and Jessica Vu, have been Swing Dancing together since 1997 and have a combined total of more than 34 years of dance experience.
Casual dress, no equipment needed. Class is held at C.I. Beaver Hall.
Session Fee: $45 Couple/$30 Individual Resident, $50 Couple/$35 Individual Nonresident

Swing II continues lessons learned in Swing I. This class is for students who have taken Swing I, or have previous Swing dancing experience. Instructors, Gus and Jessica Vu, have been Swing Dancing together since 1997.
Casual dress, no equipment needed. Class is held at C.I. Beaver Hall.

Swing Three
Summer Session June 19, 26, July 3, 10 (8:15 – 9:15 pm)

Swing I and II are REQUIRED prior to registering for this course. Over this four week course, students will be polishing up their Swing and Lindy Hop. This class changes session to session depending on the class’ requests and instructor’s creativity. Some steps that maybe covered include the Charleston, Lindy Swing outs & variations and advanced East Coast Swing variations. Gus and Jessica Vu have been Swing Dancing together since 1997 and have a combined 35 years of dance experience. They host a monthly dance for Swing dancers of all ages.
Casual dress, no equipment needed. Class is held at C.I. Beaver Hall.
Session Fee: $45 per couple/$30 individual Resident,
$50 per couple/$35 individual nonresident
Beginners Ballroom
Summer Session June 20, 27, July 11, 18, 25, Aug 1 (no class July 4th) (7:30 – 8:30 pm)
Fall Session – Dates TBD
The perfect way to sample six Ballroom Dances in a short amount of time. This class will introduce the dances of Waltz, Cha Cha, Rumba, Tango, Fox Trot and Swing; each one-hour class will focus on one dance. This class focuses on beginner’s steps, fundamentals of lead and follow skills, dance etiquette and music selection. You will be ready to hit the dance floor at that upcoming wedding or party.
Casual dress, no equipment needed. Class is held at C.I. Beaver Hall.
